Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What are the opening hours? We are open daily, our drop off and collection times are between 9.00am - 10.30am and 4pm - 5.30pm (closed wednesday afternoons). Visiting is by appointment only.

  2. Can I board my dogs together? Yes we are happy to board dogs from the same family together however, this will be done at the owners own risk, accepting that Mountain View Boarding Kennels takes no responsibility if fighting occurs between your pets.

  3. What happens if my pet is taken ill? We have an account with a vet surgery which offer a 24 hour emergency service.

  4. Who pays the vet bills if my pet is taken to the vets? The pet owner would be liable for all vet bills incurred.

  5. How secure are the kennels? Our kennels are securely locked with only staff members having access to the kennel building. The kennel premises are also under 24 hours secure CCTV surveillance.

  6. Can I cancel my booking? Bookings that are cancelled within 7 days of the arrival date may be subject to a cancellation fee. 'No shows' or cancellations made on the expected day of arrival may be invoiced for the full amount of the original booking.

  7. When do I pay? All fees are to be paid upon collection of your dog(s). Customers with outstanding unpaid invoices will be refused future bookings until such time that the account is settled in full.

  8. How can I pay? We accept cash only.

  9. What do I need to bring for my dogs stay? It is up to you how much or little you bring for your dogs stay. We provide food, bedding, toys and leads. However if you wish to bring your own bedding, toys and food etc we encourage it.

  10. Is the kennels licensed? We are a fully licensed boarding & home boarding kennels, licensed by Carmarthenshire County Council

  11. Does my dog need to be vaccinated? Mountain View Boarding Kennels has the right to refuse to accept a dog if you cannot provide evidence that your dog has an up to date Veterinary certificate of vaccinations including the kennel cough vaccine and flea and worming treatments.

  12. Can my dog run free on walks and during exercise? If you insist that your dog be let off the lead, the Boarding Kennels requires that you accept full responsibility if your dog runs away or gets lost. All dogs are left at their owners’ risk.
